Find the right stove for your home
Whether you choose a wood burner or multi-fuel stove, there are a wide range of styles available for each. Traditional styles perfectly complement rustic interiors – particularly in a fireplace with exposed brickwork – while contemporary designs can suit the most chic and modern homes. Many styles have integrated storage spaces for a neat and tidy log pile, while tall stoves can serve as a truly impressive statement piece.
Burners and stoves from Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces are available in a wide range of heat outputs. You can filter the listing above by your desired kW output – if you’re not sure what you need, please feel free to get in touch with any questions.
What’s the difference between a wood burner and a multi-fuel stove?
It’s all in the name – although both may be available in near-identical designs, a multi-fuel stove is designed to burn a wider range of fuels, while a wood burner should only be used for wood.
There are many energy efficient and environmentally friendly options that you can burn in your stove – anthracite briquettes, turf logs, even fuels made from recycled coffee grounds. However, you should not burn coal in a multi-fuel stove.
Although they can look very similar, the two types of stove also have different constructions – multi-fuel stoves have a grate to allow air to circulate and ash to fall through. However, wood burns more efficiently if the ash is kept within the fire, so wood burners generally don’t have a grate.
The finishing touches
A log burner transforms a room – more than just a heat source, it’s a design feature that also requires proper care. Browse our full range of stove accessories for log storage solutions, tools and sparkguards.
